Hannah Schiff is Managing Director of Impact at Developing World Markets, an impact investor in emerging and frontier markets. In this role, Hannah leads impact strategy, measurement, management, and reporting across DWM’s portfolio of private debt and private equity funds. Hannah has 15 years of experience in impact investing and international development, including field work in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Hannah specializes in defining, executing, and measuring the results of strategies to create meaningful positive social and environmental outcomes aligned with business value. Her recent roles include leading a platform-wide impact strategy at Nuveen (the asset management arm of TIAA) and managing research at the Global Impact Investing Network, where she launched a 10-year roadmap for the development of the impact investing industry. Hannah earned a Master’s degree from the Fletcher School at Tufts University focused on international business and development economics and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Brown University. She lives in Brooklyn, NY with her husband, daughter, and cat.
